Here’s another guide to photographing your miniature wargaming figures.
The Miniature Wargaming Editor
Berthier Campaign Manager
A new version of the Berthier Campaign Management software is out. Tony DeLyall, the programmer, explains:
Berthier is software that manages wargames campaigns for miniatures. Berthier allows two campaigners, without an umpire, to run simple strategic campaigns leading to tabletop battles. Alternatively umpires can use Berthier to run two sided campaigns. Berthier is suitable for historical, naval or fantasy wargaming in most periods but was developed with the Horse and Musket period in mind. Play by email (PBEM) is possible.
The software has been updated to version: 6.0
Cheap Trees For Your Gaming Table
The Charge! blog has an article on making cheap trees for your gaming table out of roofing nails and old sponges or foam.
A guy in our gaming group did this many years ago. Tragically, at one point, he leaned over the table, lost his balance and put his hand down to catch himself. His hand landed on one of his own trees, and drove the nail through his palm.
That avenue for cheap trees was a dead end, as far as the rest of us were concerned.
Hex Grid Paper Generator
Here’s a very nice online program for generating hex sheets for use with wargames and role playing games. I just used it to generate the paper for a hex based wargame.
