Supplier For Specialty Bottles
I like to mix my own figure washes in various colors using Future Floor Wax, water and acrylic hobby paints. It’s an integral part of my painting system. I typically waste too much of both floor wax and paint, however, because I inevitably mix much more than I need. It’s occurred to me that the thing to do is to mix a standard set of colors and store them in small bottles. But I never have because I could never figure out where to get the bottles.
Then I ran across a site called Specialty Bottle. They carry bottles in a wonderful variety of sizes, in glass, plastic, and tin. I think I’m going to get a bunch of smallish ones with eye droppers.
Elan Deluxe Napoleonic Rules
Elan Deluxe is a set of free rules for playing Napoleonic wargames. Once published professionally, it now is available online. This is a very well done, and interesting set of rules. The nominal scale is 1-50, with units representing battalions and regiments.
Paper Models Of Sea Creatures and Research Vessels
The Japan Agency of Marine Earth Science and Technology offer a page of free, downloadable paper models of sea creatures and research vessels. Properly scaled, they might be useful for a Thunderball type skirmish game, if anyone ever makes a few 28mm 1960s era scuba diver.

Bloody Big World War II Battles is a set of free wargames rules for large scale WWII battles. Each base in the game represents a battalion or regiment. The ground scale is either 3” or 6” to the kilometer. Time scale is 1turn = 2 or 1hrs. One model represents 30 or 10 vehicles / guns or half a battalion or company of infantry
