Flint and Feather Basic Rules

I played Flint and Feather at a local con last fall and thought it was quite interesting. It’s a skirmish game about the “Heroic Age” of the Great Lakes First Nations. You can get the basic rules here.

Fighting For The Pharaoh Rules

The prolific Matt Fritz offers Fighting for The Pharaoh, a set of simple and free wargames rules for refighting the battle of Kadesh in miniature. The best part is that, in addition to the rules, Matt also offers paper figures in both color and black and white. LIke all of his games, this one is designed for Matt’s students.

Hoplites Computer Game

Hoplites is a free computer card game based on the excellent GMT board game SPQR. I’ve played it and its a lot of fun. The card layout is reminiscent of the play in Columbia Games’ Gettysburg and Eagles games. There are also Samurai and Conan expansions. It’s an excellent diversion when you can’t get out your miniatures. Download the game here.
