Dragon Slayers RPG

Dragon Slayers is a playest version of an upcoming free role playing game. The author writes:

Dragon Slayers RPG looks like Savage Worlds but plays like D&D 5e. The goal is to have D&D-style adventuring without the fiddly bits. GMing is easy and the game is great for new players and one-shots. It features step-die mechanics and has inherited a few dirty hippie quirks (abstract equipment, 13th Age style backgrounds). Magic is low-ish powered and mages cast with spell points.

Warrior Poet RPG

Warrior Poet is an RPG where the players resolve conflict by writing lines of haiku. From the author’s description:

A four-player tabletop roleplaying game set in the final days of the Empire of the Moon. Take on the role of a heartbreakingly beautiful Warrior-Poet and duel using the ancient art of battle-haiku to establish dominance; to protect the Empire from threats within and without; to love, and be loved..

Seriously.

It actually looks like it would be fun for an evening with the right group.

Ysgarth Fantasy Role Playing System

I remember Ysgarth from my role playing days in the late 1970s. The game first was published in 1979. It was one of a number of fantasy rpgs that I remember we tried before finally settling on the Warhammer Fantasy Role Play.

Ysgarth has got a pretty complex system of skills and attributes, but action is resolved on a simple d100 (that is, you roll 2d10s and read them as separate decimals)

Habitation of The Stone Giant Lord

Habitation of the Stone Giant Lord is a D&D module created by a twelve year old in 1982. Talk about Old School. It has been scanned in all its graph paper and typewriter glory.

It reminds me very much of the large notebook of dungeons I made in my high school years — which I still have today. Perhaps I should scan and post them.
