The Wargames Table blog has a good idea for filling in the blank spots on a movement tray.

The WAB Corner Blog has a nice post on making terrained magnetic bases to hold four figures based individually on washers.

Mitch’s Wargaming site has a neat design for magnetic movement trays. I like the irregular shapes.

Here’s a illustration of how to make some very nice looking group movement bases.

The Tabletop Terrain site has a little, but useful article on making movement trays for your figures. This is particularly useful for games like Warhammer Ancients and the new Lord of the Rings big battle game, where large numbers of individual figures are maneuvered about.
