Charles Sweet’s Ancients Rules

One of the legendary fathers of the miniature wargaming hobby, Charles Sweet was actually featured in a 1965 issue of Sports Illustrated in an article entitled “A :Little War Can Be A Lot Of Fun.”

Painting A Roman Legionary Tutorial

Over at MacPhee’s Miniature Men, there’s a tutorial on painting a Roman Legionary with craft paints. While I’ve found the craft paints to be of varying quality, they DO have the advantage of being very cheap compared to the Games Workshop, Vallejo and other “miniatures specific” paints.

Pocket Civilization is a free, downloadable solo civilization building game that’s advertised as being compact enough to play on an airplane.

It looks very cool, and the Board Game Geek reviews are favorable.
