Sky Pirates Rules

Glenn McClune offers SkyPirates:

a game where you battle flying pirate ships against each other in the skies of the world. It is played on a hex map with ships taking up about 2 hexes. The game is completely and totally free – I was originally planning on finishing and selling it, but I really don’t have the time to dedicate to the project, so have decided it would be a waste to throw it all out.

I wrote Sky Pirates to be a fairly complex game where two people would duke it out in the skies to prove who is the best. The game is less dice-reliant than most current wargames, and drives home the neccessity of skill instead of pure dumb luck.

Overall, this is an original game in an original world – however, I find I no longer have the time to dedicate to truely finishing this game, so I felt it would be a shame for it to die without ever entering the gaming community, so I present it, in a quasi-finished form. If you love this game, add to it. I would love to see people building new ships and desgining more stuff, I would also be happy to read over anything sent to me about the game.

Internet Medieval Sourcebook

The Internet Medieval Sourcebook is a fantastic resource for miniature wargamers. I’ve had this one in my bookmarks for several years and haven’t even begun to plumb its depths. The section on the Crusades is particularly useful.
